“Peach Jam” is an upbeat southern rocker in the style of the Allman Brothers. It has a flowing melody with a zigzagging single-note line and triplestop country bends. Next, it goes into a pastoral section with signature Verheyen intervallic lines. After that, the tune picks up the pace with some of Carl’s most challenging triplet licks. Learn this tune and you’ll be a CVA master!

“Melodic Patterns”

Part 2: Second Section (June 2021)
“Peach Jam” continues with a new section based on the “Pastoral Lines” lesson.
This part has a lot of syncopation and unorthodox phrasing. Make sure to put in enough practice to really lock in the rhythms and fingerings.

Part 3: Third Section and Ending (July 2021)
The third section is blazing! It features triplets in odd groupings. Practice it slow and work it up to speed.
After you tackle the third section, return to the main melody, then end it with the “Pastoral Lines” riff once more.
