Although I’m only playing a few songs at this event I’m very proud to be involved. First because it’s an important charity concert for the charities that I support, and second because it’s celebrating the life and spirit of the late Jesse Colin Young. He was an idol of mine in my early years and had a major impact on me musically. In fact, the upcoming CVB album will feature a song of his and our European tour this year will be the Light Shine Tour, named after that very song. I wrote to Jesse as a 17 year old kid asking to be in his band, and he actually wrote me back! I still have that post card and was able to show it to him before he passed away last year…
