I spent a good part of the 70s living in Newport Beach and learning my craft in the various rock and jazz clubs in the area. It was a fertile time with plenty of venues along the coast from the Golden Bear and Hungry Joes in Huntington Beach down to the Whitehouse in Laguna where I played 4 nights a week for a few years. Further south I’ve played the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano (opening for Bo Diddley!) and more recently the Belly Up in Encinitas. And the concert hall at the Museum of Making Music has brought us to Carlsbad many times. So I’m very happy there’s a new venue in Orange County that we’ll be playing in March 2024. I hope the OC fans can turn out for a memorable Friday night with the CVB!
